“I was here” photo! Haven’t done it in a while, but now it’s a “We were here!” photo! Vera on blue, me on red, and Kate on grey-ish brown chucks while waiting in the Dalian airport. ACAMIS Soccer 2012 FTW! #BestMemoriesOfSeniorYear |

Friday. May 11, 2012 Jerrick, an elementary classmate back in 4th and 5th grade, finally came back to Taiwan for a visit after moving to the Philippines. We (the people that are still studying in Taiwan) haven’t seen him for 7 years, so when I found that he’s visiting, I immediately tried to plan out a hang out. I’m so glad we got to meet up! Lots of catching up was done and it was really cool. Reunions are so much fun when people are up for it, and I’m more than happy that we get the chance to see each other again. From now on, my project 52 is going to consist of photos that attempt to summarize what happened in that week because there’s always going to be a distinct occasion. It’s gonna be what’s left of my senior year - 3 weeks until graduation. It’s perfect. It all ends in sync. My week 52 will be the week I receive details about who I will be rooming with in college. Isn’t that sort of mind blowing? There must have been some sort of force in the Earth that made me start my Project 52 just in time for it to have a perfect ending. MAY THE NEXT FEW WEEKS BE THE BEST PARTs OF MY PROJECT 52!!! :D Project 52 // Week 48 |

As if our whole ACAMIS trip wasn’t phenomenal enough, during our last day, they brought us to this seaside carnival (ish?) place with some cool stuff. We rode this pretty awesome ride that turned us upside down and stuff. T’was rad. Project 52 // Week 47 |

Taipei Airport. The feeling of pre-ACAMIS Soccer traveling still lingers. Project 52 // Week 46 |

ACAMIS Soccer 2012 :: Dalian, China :: April 18 - 22 This photo is overdue for 2 weeks due to the following reasons: So let’s begin from here… From the moment we got on that bus that would take us to the HSR, we started bursting out into song - even if it was just a simple “the wheels on the bus go round and round”, it foreshadowed what the rest of our trip was to be - a musical. LOL. From singing in the bus, dancing our “so sexy dance” EVERYWHERE (in the airport, in our hang out place, on the soccer field, in the cafeteria, in front of national Chinese TV <— yes, it’s true), having dance battles, teaching our “so sexy” dance to every single team that wanted to know it, and dancing to the music during the banquet along with our coaches. It was the most incredible experience! Our teams got better and better after each game we played and although the weather was colder than what we were used to, we still got out there and did our thing. We left China with 2 Fair Play trophies that both our guys and girls teams won AND with the label of being the most spirited, “socially awkward” (as our coach described us to be), and most friendly team in the whole tournament. It’s probably safe to say that the talk of the tournament wouldn’t be who won 1st or 2nd, it would’ve been us - the team that everyone liked (okay awkward IB English moment realization that what I wrote sounded A LOT like “Death of a Salesman”…back to soccer now). It was the best trip I’ve ever been to so far. The new friends I made, old friends I got to rekindle, and the developed team bonding really made the ending bittersweet. I wouldn’t change a thing about it. Best sport and the best team. Phenomenal Exaltation. This photo doesn’t nearly sum up the whole experience, but it contains some of the people I love and the sport that I cannot live without. Project 52 // Week 45 |

What Christina and I did while waiting for the IB Art Show to begin. Senior photo shoot photographs on lockers. I have to admit, we had to open the lockers without any passcodes on. |

This week’s project 52 will be dedicated to the IB Art students - they just had their first ever Art Show (and the school’s first as well)!!! It was so successful and everything was simply outstanding! Such a great achievement for all of them. So without further ado, say hi to my friend Terry (the guy in the photo) :P My aim was to capture people looking at the art, but it was kinda challenging since people were so mobile. |
